He who's tired of Weird Al is tired of life.

*Feels like a little kid interviewed for a news report*

What I like best...is, um, that he's really funny? Because he makes fun of, um...other people's songs and does it good?

Grom brings up a good point:

What I like about Al is that he's very easy to stand up for when dealing with people who think that he makes fun of other people's songs and that he's stupid.

Too true, Melissa! (Even though some pigheaded friends of mine won't listen when I defend him... *grumble grumble*)

It's been said before, but I love how Al can always make me smile. I was watching the 'Mornings with Kerri-Anne" interview and smiling/laughing the entire time... He also inspired this fine forum, which often has the same effect on me. :)

Yes, that's one of my favorite things about him too.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I love how so many people know him from back in the 1980's and they say, "He's still around?"

Yeah, I get that a lot too. Used to happen all of the time at my old work. I think that's why I've had so many people not recognise him when I show them my Al & me pic. :D

The frozen-in-time Al was on Futurama and a guy in my English class that only likes him for TitDt and calls him fruity <_< didn't realize it was him until I said, "The guy they emphasized the 'no' to in the capsule." And he just said, "See, everyone hates him." I then went into my rant about his many fans and everything. No one calls our Al fruity...

Fruity?!?

Last I heard, that word has some rather negative connotations which certainly don't apply to Al... Clueless kid. Hope you set his facts straight, Melissa.

(Fruity. Honestly! *sighs and wanders off muttering mutinously*)

Yeah, he meant it more than just the sweet, delicious snack/dessert that comes from nature. It angers me every time, I spend the whole class trying to prove to him otherwise and trying to make him stop insulting Al.

I like Al because unlike a lot of music artists, he doesn't take himself too seriously. He just has fun. He also seems like a lot more of a down to earth guy than most celebrities. Not to mention his music is hilarious and great.
