I only have a few issues of Mad magazine, and a few mad books, including mad About TV, which featured an introduction by Al, and I haven't really seen any of Mad's pieces featuring Al. Though I once saw a website that scanned a two-question interview with Al that was in Mad Magazine. And I've heard about Mad's article where Al supposedly wrote a parody called Pretty Fly for a Dead Guy.
I haven't read everyu page in this thread, so forgive me if this has been discussed already, but has anybody here ever seen the Uncle Nutzy article which inspired the character of the same name in UHF? Was he just a one-shot character in the magazine? What was that article like?

I've read Uncle Nutzy. It's in Mad About the Sixties. It's pretty funny. Basically it's a parody or the children shows of the time, like Captain Kangaroo. It's very funny, and totally worth getting the book for. I think it's 10 dollars for the digest sized copy. I have the larger one, though. And I'm pretty sure he never reappeared.
