Ok when i saw the ending scene in UHF which was before i had ever seen GWTW, i thought that that was going to be what it really was. But in school i'm in an american history in film class and we watched GWTW and finished it today. Because of UHF i thought i knew how the movie ended. But i was very suprised to see that its not how GWTW ended. Has anyone else felt this way

If you don't mind me correcting you, Evil Dead was Rated that for excessive violence (It very gory!). So add Violence to your list.
EDIT:Yes I know the scene on ED where...um..well...if anybody's asking they should know what they're asking about.

Well, I guess it wasn't a direct storyline parody for GWTW. Just placing the characters George and Terri as Rhett and Scarlet allowed for the corny "Tommorow's another day" ending. I liked it anyway, even if it wasn't exacty GWTW.
My signature is what I've always dreamed of!
Well, not really...but it's good enough for now.

I just watched UHF for the first time in a while. I'm really glad I watched it again, I had forgot a lot of what happened. It had been a long time since I last saw it. Probably at least about three or four years.

I still think it's one of the great movies of all time....

My boy friend gave it to me about two weeks ago after I saw it for the first time at his house. He saw how much I loved it, and he let me have it. He likes Weird Al, but is not obsessed, so he gave it to me to keep. Awww.

It was absolutely awesome! I loved all the special features and Easter Eggs along with the hilarious commentary!

Al mentioned some scenes with Raul that didn't get made because Trinidad Silva died before all of his scenes could be filmed. He mentioned one of those scenes taking place at the telethon, where the poodles get their revenge. From what I read, it sounded like the scenes weren't filmed, but during the deleted sceens, there is a brief clip in a montage of deleted scenes that showed some guy being attacked by poodles. His face was covered, but I wonder if a second actor was hired and some scenes were filmed/ refilmed, or if Al wanted the scene to be in the movie and had a different actor play him and have his face covered.

I know that the scene with the poodles being thrown out the window and the scene with Joe Early losing his thumb were almost cut and left in because Al liked the scenes, but I wonder how Al had say as to what was included. Al didn't direct or produce the movie. He just starred in it, wrote the script, wrote the songs, and was involved in the casting.

Al didn't direct the movie, but Jay Levey, Al's manager since forever and very good friend, did. So it's not likely that Jay would shut Al out of input into the content of the film.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

Al explains all of this in the commentary during UHF - from memory those scenes were suggested to be cut by the studio to get a G rating.

Also they didn't re-cast Trinidad as they were to upset. (He talks about that too)

By the way- the flying poodle scene originaly showed the poodles 'landing' but after test screenings they realised people were wincing so they cut it just prior & you now only hear the thud - which went over much better.

If you haven't viewed the movie at least 27 times with the commentary - you don't know what you're missing. (Look out! They're coming in through the window!!!!)
