I for one loved this song from the first time I heard it. And I'm praying he'll sing it at the concert I'm going to. I mean, literally, praying!!!!
I was a little bit shocked when I first heard it, because I couldn't imagine Al doing something that overly cheesy. Someone way back in this post said something about "not as suave as I'm trying to be" and I think that's what this song is all about. Making fun of guys who are not quite cool, but think they're gods gift to women. And as a single woman, I've met several just such ones. The "am I a steamin hunk of love now, or what?" and "take you home right now, so you can meet my mom" are perfect examples.
And besides, I love the way Al sings this song
:9~

QUOTE (Insert Coin(s) to Continue @ Mar 4 2007, 08:50 PM) I could be wrong, but isn't Al known to swap in lines like that if he, chance, forgets a line? Especially during the early dates of the tour, I've heard stories of this happening.

Yeah, he does that. He did it at the Akron show on the PH tour. He forgot the words and ended up singing "I wanna be your beef taquito" or something like that, and then he sang "I wanna be your beef burrito" shortly after that.

Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I'm still holding out for it too! Is it likely that the setlist will be the same between Australia and the US, and if so, is anyone going to want to know if he performs it in the shows here?

I'm very jealous of those who have been kablaamed, but at least he sang the library card line to me. He was up on stage, and I was looking up at him from my seat. I was able to take one pic as he was strutting toward me *yes, he did strut, gals*, but then, I froze, and just looked up at him in awe. He was like two inches from the edge of the stage! *fans self* Helen and sg are right. A gal really doesn't forget something like that.
It would be sweet if WBUL remained in the set list.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Yes, Al strutted toward me, It was so awesome, and WAY hot! He started strutting from the back of the stage, and went from stage left, almost all the way over to the right. He stopped, turned, and headed straight toward me! I couldn't believe it! Front row has its advantages, I guess. My pic isn't as clear as I'd like, but it is a reminder of that moment.

The edge of the stage is what is blocking the view of his feet. hehe!
