OK, didn't know what your location was (I've been away and haven't caught up here yet). Let's just say he makes it a very personal experience for us Al Gals! :P What I mean is that he goes into the audience during the song and "delivers" the lines to us. The two times I saw him last year, the lines I were "You'd look like Venus..." at the first show and "Am I a steamin' hunk..." at the 2nd". Ahhhhh memories!! :whoot:

Wow, and I thought I had lousy fan timing... I feel your pain, Emily.

i had a look at the Australian states Al took the PH tour to, i think he did go to every state, but he played multiple shows in every state except the one i'm in

hopefully he brings the next tour to Aus, i'll be really sad if he doesn't

I'm sure it all depends on how much money he brought in for the promotors. If he made a lot, then they'll be motivated to bring him back. I'm sure the guys would love a chance to do it again. Heck, they'd probably even go to France if the offer was good enough. ;)

Wow. No comments for over a year.

Anyway, a few days ago I got this crazy idea: why not make a live-action music video of sorts for "Wanna B Ur Lovr"? My idea for the video involves me walking down a long path, humuorously pointing out stuff related to the lyrics (for example, in the Lucky Charms line, I'm walking up to and briefly standing behind a bowl of Lucky Charms on a table, with milk and juice, etc., and a sign on the table that reads "Part of a Complete/Balanced Breakfast!" [if *ahem* you know what I mean]), with one or more girls appearing in the video along with me at certain point.

Obviously this is an ambitious project, and I've yet to develop it fully, but I can TOTALLY see it playing out in my head right now. And it's darned hilarious, too.

I was thinking I could just post a bulletin on MySpace for my friends to recruit helpers, which is good because 1) at least 1 of them has expertise behind a video camera, and 2) most of them are in drama with me. We're ACTORS. We can do it!

I'll post updates as they come (if they come).
I am shocked, offended, and a little turned on.

I don't curse. Except around vampires.

Well, having read through all 13 pages of this topic...

First, let me say that WBUL is one of my favourite songs. It's just hilarious, though I did feel strange having to explain the innuendo lines to my mother. It's no fun having a parent who is slightly prudish and who doesn't much get Al. I've never seen WBUL live, since I was teetering between NAF and casuAL fan when Poodle Hat was released, and while I knew a few songs from my friend's brother's copy, I certainly didn't know about the tour! But I loved the song even before I started seeing pics of it in the drool topic. And I hope he can keep it in the setlist so that I can see it.

Second - I just don't see how anyone could find this song horrifically inappropriate. Yes, there is a lot of innuendo - but it is subtle, and if my mother didn't get half of it, I'm sure young children wouldn't - unless they've already been exposed to that kind of thing, in which case, isn't the harm already done? Even at the line "Are you picking up the subtle innuendo here?" my mother shook her head with a perplexed look on her face.

It's like when I heard One More Minute (another favourite, though seeing WAY Live! influenced that a little) when I was younger - actually, about when Poodle Hat came out I guess, since I 'heard' it for the first time when I watched TUVC. The line about the 'self-service pumps' went over my head, and I was about 15 at the time *indicates mention of her mother to explain sheltered childhood* - It was not until I started listening to it when I heard that SOL was coming out - 18 by this point - that I was like "Ohhh..." And it wasn't shock at the fact that Al had said it, I think I just blushed a little, and moved on.

Anyway, this is getting a bit long. Just wanted to add my 27 cents...
