yeah he is, he actually told me the other day that the album sounds fine when played in something like Adobe Audition, or even media player, but they sound crappy when he plays the tracks using DVD player software [he ripped the WAV files so he doesn't have to anymore]. This was good to hear because I didn't like to believe that something that obviously had so much effort put into it ended up sounding 2nd rate
Now all I have to do is order myself a copy of the US version and get a 5.1 system....

The tsunami of immediacy will wash away the flood of grief, and reveal a layer of naive optimism underneath

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about how they sound when played from the computer. If you were using the PC as an HTPC and output the sound digitally to a regular A/V receiver, I'm sure it would sound great with regular speakers.
It does sound OK when played using PowerDVD on my computer, but I only have a simple 2 channel setup on the computer.
On my regular home theater system, it just plain ROCKS! I can't wait 'til the concert. This is going to be absolutely awesome live.

I got a new TV for Christmas and it has a surround button. I'm listening to SOL in Surround for the first time. It POLKAS!
It sounds awesome.

OH MY GOD. After leeching an hour to use my uncle's surround sound set, I managed to listen to SOL in 5.1. The cool thing, though? He has like 12 speakers. I dunno if all twelve were used since it was a few hours ago, but WOW. Pancreas sounded a lot neater. And I actually heard the "Nananas" in CBNC. It sounded really nice. I NEED a surround sound set now.
