I really like rap parodies. Not only because I like the genre, but because there are more words for Al to get his jokes across in. Also, the "attitude" of rap makes the songs a lot funnier than the usually lighthearted by comparison genre of rock.

Well, this may be strange, but looking at this forum posting, it does remind me that Al did ask Daniel Powter to do a parody of "Bad Day"; Powter said no but changed his mind when Al was in the studio to fill up the album, to which Al stated that "the train already left the station" at that point. Call me crazy, but this might be a possibility for the parody in question (Had a Bad Date) to be on Al's upcoming 2009 CD. Either that or release it as a CD single as a sneak preview and/or collector's item.

Hey A-Log!
The song Bad Day is already losing commercial steam. I really doubt anyone will even remember it by 2009. It'd be too obsquere for Al to do by then.

I think if Al does have permission to do "Bad Date," even if it is not already recorded, that he should put it out just as a single...like "Headline News." Maybe this takes too much work and/or effort, but with three years between albums there's a lot of material that comes and goes. And I know the fans would love it...at least I would.
