First, Patti. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was grouping your whole post in with mine. I just meant to group in the part about harsh comments.
Second, I never meant that I thought this topic would be locked. In my world, I would lock it--however, in my world, I can't imagine anything REAL negative being said about Al. I realize that people have different opinions than me, and many people do not grasp things I say in the right way. That's the thing about the internet, it can't fully convey what you are saying in type. People definitely have the right to express their opinions--it just sets me off, when I see something that's not constructive criticism, but is fully criticizing Al on something he does. Or that says it made them lose respect for Al. In my eyes, if Al did something severly wrong--it would still be right. I am too obsessed with Al, I realize this.
Third, No opinion that anyone has makes them any less of a fan. I didn't even realize any of my posts conveyed this.
I know that people who weren't Al fans, wouldn't be at this board. This board is for the fans, by the fans. I wish more Al fans could discover this board, and realize how great it is.Fourth, at the beginning of this whole jazz, when WOWAY was mentioned(I think it was this topic), I couldn't just sit by and watch people on this board or this board itself get criticized. I love this board too much, and I love Al too much to let that happen.
Finally, I apologize to anyone my comments may have hurt, or made them feel like their opinions weren't welcome. I was completely out of line in this whole argument. As I said, I am just too obsessed and can't stand when someone puts down Al. Sorry.
I hope that this post will end all of the argument about who's a fan, who has a right to an opinion, what opinions should go here, how opinions should be formulated, etc. I also hope that the next post in this topic will be about the Tonight Show Performance. That is what this topic is for...and it needs to get back to that. I realize this is the only way it ever will.
