NLY would be Nick Louis Yankovic (also Nina Louise Yankovic)
27 in this case refers to Al's mother's birthday -- Feb 7.

For the story of 27 consult Elvis' website.
This means something. This is important.

GMTA, El. Good suggestion as far as Elvis's site, btw.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Even Worse stopped at # 27 on Billboard. ;)

Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Kurt Cobain all died at age 27.

In one of the many SOL-related interviews Al's done in the past couple of months, but I don't recall which one.

I agree with that the good sales of SOL are because of White & Nerdy, we have topics about the popularity of that song, & that's a big reason why the CD is so good. That & true fans buy it not just downloading it free. As for the death of close people... I don't think that increases sales. Yes the death of the artist would, but not if it's only someone close to them. Unless it's a dedication to the deceased person/people.
That's a pretty big parrot you've got there Carl.

I think Al did mention it in an interview, but I saw it a while back in an item in the online alumni newsletter for Suzanne's university, right after Nina was born (I'm willing to say that now because Suzanne has put her education history up on her MySpace page, so it's apparently not on the list of Things You Should Just Pretend You Haven't Seen)

It seems like Nina is kinda sorta almost named after her grandpa.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
