Thanks for your help and general opinion about the subject.

The album you pointed out is the wrong one. If you select 1991 singles you will find this singles which is also on Weirdal.com rare items

SPECIAL PROJECTS: BABALU MUSIC
(September, 1991)
Al produced this collection of the greatest musical moments from the \"I Love Lucy\" show. He is not actually heard anywhere on this collection, although his skill at pop culture manipulation is in evidence on the \"Babalu Music\" medley. (Columbia 48507)

I guess it counts. But it's up to you if you like to add it to your collection :)

Slightly changed the title. And moved to Music and Record (ya think?) :sarcasm:

Anyway, I don't consider it a "Weird Al" Yankovic album. Al doesn't actually perform on it, he just produced it. Even if he did perform on it, it's no different than any other compilation he's been on (Pokémon, Dr. Demento, etc.) or any other artists albums he's been on (Barnes & Barnes, TDA!, etc.), and I don't consider those "Weird Al" Yankovic albums.

I think it's best described as a "special project."

Steve and Bermuda do perform on it, so it should be in any collection for that reason alone.

My mother is a huge I Love Lucy fan so I got it for her with the understanding that although it is hers, I reserve the right to consider it part of my collection.

I'd say it counts as much as Dr. Demento's blues work counts, which is to say, not much...but definitly cool, nonetheless.

If it makes you feel any better Catra, your site is one of my top 5 Al pages. :bigups:

I don't consider it an ALbum, just as I don't consider the Pokemon soundtrack an ALbum--more like oddities.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!
