Something about the animation was off. Al seemed disproportionate (huge head, arms shrinking and growing) for a few of the scenes, and it was really distracting. Also distracting was how he was lipsynching some times, then doing some weird open/shut thing with his mouth other times.

Again, though, that's JibJab's style. All of their videos are like that. What makes this different is that in their other videos they just use pics of the politicians/celebrities that they find in the media. But here, Al had face shots made for them to use specifically for this video.

I know it's their style, it just seemed that Al's actual character seemed to grow and shrink...most likely as complications trying to establish perspective (as he was lying on the ground after falling off the ladder was where I noticed it).

Still, it was very smooth animation and clearly took an amazing amount of detail and I respect the work they put into the video; it was just offputting sometimes and took me out of the video.

I was hoping for more Al, but I like dthe way they morphed Lynwood Al into Taylor. And tehre are lots of Al references, whihc makes it fun to watch and look out for

Hmm, more Al? I thought there was plenty of Al in there. Lynwood Al morphed into Taylor Al, and then it was Taylor Al all the way through from there.

I mentioned this before, and there are credits, but Debbie was played by Kiersten Cunnington. I have no idea who she is, but someone did ask.

did anyone else notice that when Debbie is grocery shopping [and Al is hiding in the freezer] the cereal she picks up is called "Jib Jab"

I loved this video... I think it really adds a lot to a song that I feel is generally underappreciated here.

The only problem I had is that jibjab.com was having problems giving me the video nice and unchoppy, so I had to wait a while to let it preload.

I found it odd while going on the computer here in the Engineering building. If you go to msn.com and the picture for more on msn.com, I guess. The second picture after the smoking one is for Jibjab's new video.

Mindless trivia: The suspect on the end that everyone believes looks like Jay is actually celebrated cartoon historian Jerry Beck.
