I don't know what a "HABBO" is or why it's news for someone to be on it, but here you go.

"Weird Al" Goes Live on HABBO

"Habbos" Given Once In A Lifetime Opportunity to Interact With "Weird Al" Yankovic

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB via PRWeb) October 30, 2006 -- Best-selling musical comedy artist, "Weird Al" Yankovic will appear for a live visit with fans on HABBO, one of the world's largest and hottest on-line destinations for teenagers.

"Weird Al" Yankovic will check into HABBO on Monday, October 30th at 3PM PST/ 6PM EST. During the visit, Weird Al will hang out with fans on the Teen People Terrace and answer questions about the release of his newest album "Straight Outta Lynwood." The interview will be broadcasted over HABBO's exclusive Internet Radio Stream, Bobba Music hosted by DJ Brena (www.bobbamusic.com).

Teens interested in becoming members of HABBO and participating in this exciting event should go to www.habbo.com and click on the "check in" button.

About Weird Al
On the eve of the release of his 12th studio album Straight Outta Lynwood, Grammy Award-winning artist "Weird Al" Yankovic's current single "White & Nerdy" is blowing up at radio with more than 500 spins and 1.2 million in audience one week out.

The video for "White & Nerdy," a parody of Chamillionaire's recent hit "Ridin'," was written and directed by Al. It features cameos by Donny Osmond, Seth Green and Judy Tenuta, as well as Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key from MAD-TV. All of the extras in the video were recruited by Al via his MySpace website.

Straight Outta Lynwood also contains parodies of hits by Green Day, Usher, R. Kelly and Taylor Hicks, plus Al's requisite polka medley and six hilarious original songs. The album will be released as a DualDisc, and features PCM Stereo, 5.1 Surround and instrumental mixes of every song, as well as a behind-the scenes featurette and six brand new animated music videos.

"Weird Al" Yankovic has reigned for over 20 years as the best-selling musical comedy artist in history, with over 12 million albums sold, three Grammy Awards including "Best Comedy Album" for 2003's "Poodle Hat," 10 MTV/VH1 specials, his own feature film (UHF), a Disney Channel special, a CBS television series and countless miles logged on tour. With unparalleled acclaim for his musical satire, Al is best known for his parodies of the biggest stars in the musical universe: Eminem, Nirvana, Madonna, Michael Jackson, U2, P. Diddy, Mick Jagger and Sting are just a few of those who have been awarded the "Weird Al" treatment – and all with the full blessings from the artists themselves.

That sounds pretty cool. It's in about an hour. How do you get in to at least listen to the interview?

Yeah, I got the same message, as I was waiting in line, oh well. Habbo can take their stupid service. At least Al will get some promotion from the very few people it lets listen to, and take part in the interview.

Yeah, I guess so. In order to go into the Teen People Terrace you have to be a Habbo Member. And to be a Habbo member you need to pay at least 25 coins. And to get coins you have to buy them via credid card, money order, etc. Shoot! So how can I listen to the radio stream thing? I can't find it at BobbaMusic.com. All I get is a radio station playing music.

He hadn't come on yet. It normally is a radio station playing music. Unfortunatly, I only caught the last couple minute of the 12 minute interview...caught the tail end of talking about the Compleat Al and its mockumentariness...and ALCON!! (:whoot: Go Amanda!)..but that was about it..and the obligatory "Send your stuff to the Good Doctor if you want to try to get comedy music out there" (paraphrasing of course)..and that was it.

Unfortunatly, again, I have a night class so I'd better run.

Hopefully someone caught/recorded the interview and can fill in the rest!
