Oy, that's all we need.

"So Al, why do you hate downloading music so much?"
"So Al, why didn't you put that James Blunt song on your album?"
"So Al, why didn't Eminem let you do a video?"
"So Al, what's Coolio's problem?"

I think that should cover the basics. If any reporters are lurking here, feel free to crib these word-for-word.

I'm really ashamed at my fellow media workers quite often. I graduated college with a degree in Journalism and I'm going to be attending graduate school in a couple days - Hopefully one day I can interview my hero and *gasp* not ask him any questions dealing with Coolio, downloads, or Eat It. It's hard to imagine, isn't it?

Doesn't everyone just sigh when interviewers keep asking him the same questions and talk about the same things over and over? We could be learning so much more about Al through the media.

This writer also thinks that DDTS is a parody, plus the reporter thinks Al mentioned "diamond palm trees". Obviously, she's a little confused.

D'oh!

I just sent an email to my favorite talk show host, Ronn Owens on KGO 810 AM in the San Francisco Bay Area. He's a fan of Al's (he has a link to Al's website, and called him 'one of his favorite guests'), and tomorrow Ronn is having on Dave "Your Duke" Sholin (sp?).
I gave Ronn a heads up about the upcoming CD release and free song downloads, so who knows, he may just mention it tomorrow. It was worth a try!

Ooh I do like that write-up, especially this part...

that recent incident with Yankovic vs. some numbwits at Atlantic Records, who don't seem to get that a parody of "You're Beautiful" is the best thing that could happen to that stink-butt James Blunt song.

This means something. This is important.

Nice find, Greg! I also liked the part you quoted, El, especially the term "numbwits".

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!
