The Best Buy near me was well-stocked with the DVD this morning, so yeah that might be everyone's best bet as far as guaranteeing that a store has it in.

Of course, to save expensive gas, it would probably be a good idea to call a store beforehand if you're not sure you'll find one.

Is there a way to bypass the Shout Factory previews? Just right clicking for the top menu is disabled for me. It will be most maddening if I have to endure that EVRYTIME I want to watch an episode of TWAS?

Aside from that, I am enjoying the commentaries immensely.

edited to add...yes, there is a way...press the forward arrow 4 times, and you'll get to the screen with the program choices.

An interesting note for those with the full screen/wide screen option. When you select WIDE SCREEN, it turns the picture upside-down.
This means something. This is important.

I bought mine today at Best Buy for 26 bucks! It's beautiful! I went to Circuit City, but their copies were delayed and Target didn't have any. BB only had five copies! I tried to count The Simpsons but I got bored after 22. My guess is they had over fifty, maybe sixty or seventy.

Got it at Best Buy...I kind of get the feeling that I'll only be watching each episode once regularly and then after that, only watch it with commentary on, but even if there weren't commentaries, I would have gotten it anyway.

Other than the commentaries, none of the extras really interest me, but still, the Fatman feature should be cool.

I didn't find a single copy today at Best Buy, Circuit City, or Target. FYE had one lone copy, but they wanted the full 34.99 MSRP for it, and I just couldn't afford both that AND The Simpsons.

I got mine this morning at FYE. They had just one copy of it, so if you plan on getting yours at an FYE store, you'd be well-advised to call first. Just as spmahn said, they're also charging the full list price for it, so if you're looking for a bargain, FYE's not the place to get it.

I watched "Bad Influence" and "Promises, Promises" just a few minutes ago. I watched "Bad Influence" with the commentary and I really enjoyed it. It's very informative and interesting. I especially liked hearing about all of the crazy demands and restrictions CBS put on the show. It seems like they were really anal about it being insanely kid friendly. The thing about how Al wasn't allowed to use the bit about drowing in a drinking fountain in one of the educational films really got me. I can't believe CBS actually thought that kids would be afraid of drowning in a drinking fountain!  I do hope that the rest of the commentaries talk more about the show itself instead of talking about what CBS wouldn't let them do, though. It's awesome to see these episodes looking so good, and they sound great too.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Wow. The unskippable adds are really annoying.

Has anyone found any? I figured to make a new topic because here we can just talk about these as opposed to the commentaries, the episodes, etc

They are skippable, as pointed out in El's post above.

Anyway, I figured we didn't need a separate topic for Easter eggs since there haven't been any mentions yet...
