Boy, next we'll find out Prince and Eminem are in cahoots with Mary Gormley in a sadistic plot to abolish humor and take over the entire world!
And they intend to change the official language of the US to rebuses and 1337! Save us, Al!
:D
Although I totally think it's no laughing matter, whoever wrote that apparently does.
And BTW, how do we even know Ms. Gormley is the great Satan here? There might be someone else entirely behind this.
Dave? Hello Dave? Is Dave there? There's a block in your t'ilet.

Everyone, I seriously doubt it was actually the real Mary Gormley. It's just some anonymous dope who's too cowardly to come here and mock us after trolling the forum for information. Talk about having no life, huh?

I really, really, really doubt an executive at one of the largest record labels in the world would make her first official statement about a news-making situation via a comment on a blog that's read by at most four people (not counting the author's relatives of course).

As to the tone of the "comment" itself, you should never feel bad about voicing your opinions to people, especially when it concerns your choices as a consumer. In the last four years a long-out-of-print movie came back out on home video and was treated with more respect than it ever received, and in just two months a nine-year-old cancelled TV show is being released in its entirety even though about three-fourths of its intended audience never even knew about it. That's not luck. That's people talking to those who can make stuff happen. It may not always work, but it's certainly worth a try.

It's the people who sit on the sidelines and do nothing who are always the ones kvetching and moaning after the fact. If that's how they want to spend their short time on this planet, then let them. I'll instead be enjoying the things that we might not have had unless folks spoke up to the right people.

I've got to agree with Greg. That was a troll, not Mary Gormley (Gormly?). The real Mary G would want to keep her client always in the best possible light, and not say things that are calculated to enrage.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

It's always interesting to see who might further an issue one way or the other, so to speak, eh?

Besides, sooner or later any vile, lying dungheap scumbag la-la-la-looosers will get their just due. With no help needed from us ;)

For most companies, the thing most important to them and/or their investors is $. Unhappy customers mean less profit, so they usually like to try to placate them.

There's no doubt in my mind that this is NOT the real Mary Gormley. I would hope that record executive would have a much more professional attitude, and as Greg said, I really don't think she'd choose to make her first statement about the song on some loser's blog. It's just pathetic that someone even had to resort to posting a comment like that.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

Just the fact that I doubt a record would use "LOL" in a post, twice, is enough to discredit it for me.

I'm really not doing well at censoring my posts am i?

I blame it on 14 weeks of school [when the usual length is 10]. My brain has been like jell-o these past few days

I'm surprised my warn-meter thingy hasn't gone up. Thanks Elvis.....what's that thing for anyway?

While we're on the subject of Mary Gormley being the LOL-saying great Satan, did you guys know that if you stand before a darkened mirror, raise a spatula into the air, and say "Mary Gormley" 27 times, she'll pop out of the mirror and brainwash you into thinking "You're Pitiful" is a bad song! Cool, huh?

And ironically, if you say "Ron Wheeler" in front of a mirror in the dark......nothing happens, just like when you say it anywhere else.

You know, I just heard your Beautiful at my local grocery store, and it was awful! Weird Al was better at singing then James Blunt!
