It certainly seems as if this song is becoming big through word of mouth.
I've been exchanging e-mails with someone (can't say who...Rock Hall surprise coming!) and they forwarded to me an e-mail a relative sent them. It was sort of a call to arms to everyone this person knows to download the song and pass it around before Al's forced to remove the links. I don't know, I just found that charming, that people really want to see Al do well with this despite the roadblocks that have been put up.

What I noticed was that it now says that there are only ten songs recorded for a new album and that he will record some more. I guess that the problem the record company had was with this song, it must not have gotten permission; therefore he couldnt get any money for it and couldnt put it on an album so he just gave it away.
Call me a dumb n00b , but do you guys know if it's OK to post it in the funny audio section of sites like killsometime without Al's permission? I haven't because it still belongs to him, right?
Dave? Hello Dave? Is Dave there? There's a block in your t'ilet.

I think it would be alright.
Someone already used it for a YTMND thing and there was no problem. I doubt he got permission for it.
I don't know if this has been discussed elsewhere but according to Dr. Demento, "You're Pitiful" was going to be the lead single off the new album! This is from an online chat the other day:
Dr. Demento : He told me that he'd just put too much time and effort and money into it to just let it die, so after he learned that he could not use the song on his next album, he decided to let it out any way he could.
Dr. Demento : Yes. It was going to be the lead track on the next album.
Dr. Demento : I'm not sure exactly what went down. Obviously Al thought he had approval on it at some point, or he would not have recorded it.

Hmmm....which is probably why (If the most popular theory is correct), Blunt's label was charging Al a fortune over if it was just a deeper album cut (Which would probably lead Al to have to pay everyone a similar amount)
Thanks for posting that
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
I thought that too... I wonder what the new lead will be to the album... Well, lets hope that he doesn't do this again! There would be less songs to wait for on the album and stuff like that. If he did, it would take more time to release anyway. So any one beat 500 times played?
Also, I tryied to get the lyrics for Hit Me With A Rock, that link... but it kept loading and when it stopped, the lyrics wouldn't show... Can anyone help me?
