People advertising from the little pad of paper, I assume. Heh, there's evidence of a first-draft on the envelope; a pencil or pen was used. I can't make out all the words, but he wrote "lovely" the first time [in place of "beautiful"] *shrug*
I live just north of Indianapolis, IN and today reading the paper (which I hardly do these days) I noticed Rick Derringer was performing at a local club in Anderson, IN. I think I read once that he was from OH and was the lead singer of a band called the McCoys of "Hang on Sloopy" and "Fever" fame. This seems to be his IN tie as that band was formed here. He also sang Rock and Roll Hootchie Koo a solo hit for him in 1974. Of course you all know he produced many of Al's albums until Al himself took it upon himself to produce his albums.
It would be cool to chat with him! The club is 10 minutes from me.

And just a reminder to anyone who does go see any of Al's pals in concert this year, it doesn't hurt to have a spare petition page on your person...just in case.
Emo did 3 episodes of the show Home Movies during it's 4 season run as the bully Shannon, and arguably his best performance is in the fourth season episode Bye Bye Greasy (And yes, he even sings). The fourth season is now on dvd (A season which also features an awesome guest appearance by a favorite of Al's and many Alheads, They Might Be Giants!)
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?
I just found out by accident that one of my friends was Judy Tenuta's cousin. I was taking this dumb survey in school, and he sits next to me, and obviously I answered "Weird Al" to nearly every question: "Who is your favorite musician?" "Who is your favorite actor?" "Who is your role model?", etc. Well, I got to "Who is your favorite actress?", and I didn't have the heart to answer the same thing to that, too, so I said "Judy Tenuta". Anyway, I don't know if it's true or not, but, being female, I don't judge actresses by their sexiness. So I told him to vote for her too, and he said, "She's my cousin!" He didn't say her though, and that was probably fortunate.
Dave? Hello Dave? Is Dave there? There's a block in your t'ilet.
