Is AL-TV returning or did you find a nice interview? Just tell the folks here.

Well, to some interviewers, celebrities (particularly anyone comedic) are regarded as nothing more than performing monkeys.

But then again I just hope nobody's confusing these guys for actual journalists. In most cases, if your press pass has the word ".com" anywhere on it, you're just a hack.

Exactly, crazygurl. Al isn't one of those performers who has to be "on" all the time. He's funny onstage & off, but offstage he doesn't seem to feel the need to prove it incessantly. I've seen him backstage a couple of times, and what impressed me most strongly was how quiet and gracious he was, and how perfectly ok he was with not always being the center of everybody's attention. But those tweak dweebs wouldn't recognize graciousness if it smacked them upside the head like a dead mackerel.

~OE, off to do a little remedial work in similes.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
