Congrats on getting two Ben Folds cds, Kevbo! I like the strings version of Landed, too, but I think that Ben did not put it on the final cd because the strings at times will overcome the piano. The reason I buy a Ben Folds cd is to hear that piano, so I think he made the right decision. Of course, he also made the strings version available to hear on the dvd side of the cd.

I really liked "Landed"... and I thought it was a hilarious counterpoint to schedule a song about "landing" right after Tom's been gushing about Katie.

Did anyone notice him throw his stool at the piano after the song concluded? Does he do that a lot? I took it as him not being pleased with how the song went or the piano was messed up.....

Ben has been doing that for the past ten years or so. If you've ever seen the video for "Song for the Dumped", he actually uses his stool to hit a few keys near the end of the song. So, no, he probably wasn't upset about the song. I'm just sorry I missed it.

Has anybody here had any playback problems with the dualdisc?

None here. What exactly are you having trouble with?

Btw, the video for Landed is up on Ben's site now. Neither William Shatner, nor the orangutan that was shown during the segment about the video shoot, are in it.

Darn it!

The dualdisc had a note that said that it wouldn't work in older cd or dvd players, so maybe that's what's going on.

If you're having problems with the cd side, I recommend burning it and making another copy (For personal use OF COURSE. I'm not a HOOLIGAN! :D )
