Your Own Mix Album

Post by Bruce the Duck »

I'm sure I'm not the only one who makes a new mix tape every time a new ALbum comes out. I'd like to see what great ideas for mix tapes you guys have come up with.

Mine is below. I tried to make each song somehow connect to the previous song. Sometimes it didn't work though! This is the fifth set of mix tapes I've made, and I think it's the best.

Here's the topic for your own cheesy compilation.

Was gonna lock this, but then I realized it was different.

I made a mix tape for my mom after the concert she saw. Basically it was her favorite songs from the concert and a few more thrown in that I figured she'd like to round out the tape.

I have been toying with the idea of trying to recreate the concert setlist. If I could only figure out how to nip and tuck the medley songs...

I have made a few alternate mixes. One of all his rockingest songs, and the other all my favorite originals. Oh, and of course the complete polka collection, which I need to update with awbp.

I made a 110-minute tape with all of my favorite songs through RWS:

Side A: I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead / Midnight Star / Yoda / Dog Eat Dog / I Think I'm A Clone Now / UHF / Headline News / Trigger Happy / Achy Breaky Song / Everything You Know Is Wrong / The Saga Begins / The Check's In The Mail / This Is The Life / Addicted To Spuds / Twister

Side B: Spam / The Plumbing Song / Frank's 2000" TV / Amish Paradise / Grapefruit Diet / Cable TV / One Of Those Days / This Song's Just Six Words Long / The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota / Smells Like Nirvana / Livin' In The Fridge / Gump / Truck Drivin' Song / Stop Draggin' My Car Around / Eat It / Good Enough For Now

Well... the tape no longer plays. I played it so much (& left it in the car alot) that the tape got worn out & reeked havoc with the auto reverse function in the car.

So I made a CD that clocked in about 20 seconds under 80 minutes. Imagine the pain & agony in choosing 80 minutes of the 110 I already had a tough time deciding on.

Now, I've got to make another CD to include PH.

Geez... I had an easier time making my two CDs of karaoke (midi files via Windows Media Maker). I only had to not include 4 or 5 tracks out of about 50 or so.
