Matt, that sounds really cool! Mad Genius, that sounds cool, too! I'm just going to do the vocals and there will be no back-ups. Expect a piano part in there or accordion, or both!
I am posting my FIRST SONG, I repeat my first song ever recorded. I would like to show you all how I sounded when I first started out. I also want to show the newbies that it takes time and a lot of practice to get better. Here's some classic Matt for ya!
This is pretty much "My Belvedere Cruisin".
Here it is! My first song, written and recorded in 1997 (I was around 12 or 13 years old)...
Click Here - Talking to an Ewok
I wrote this when Star Wars was re-released in theaters. For those of you who don't know, ewoks are little furry creatures that were on Return of the Jedi. Hey! I just realized, Episode three came out today...what a coincidence!
-Matt
PS. I have like five different recordings of this song. I'm not sure exactly which ones are 1997 and 1998. I'm pretty sure this is late 1997 though. All the other ones will be on the data disc. LOL, sorry I keep bringing up the data disc, I'm just excited about it!
Here's the lyrics
I'm sitting in McDonald's somewhere in the back
I reach in my bag for a bag for a big mack
Instead I get some creature and then I realize
It's a furry martian, and ouch the fries
I don't understand how this could be
All that I asked for was a number three
I said, "What are you" right up to its face
And he said I'm an ewok and I'm from outer space
He said we got attacked by robotic strangers
And who came to save us, not the power rangers
It's Luke and Princess Laya and all of the gang
When Darth Vadar found out he said, "Dang"
He went right to the source and he told me 'bout the force
But I didn't believe him, actually of course.
He said, "Well let me give you a little demonstration"
It takes a lot of thought and some concentration
He lifted my bike all the way to Mars
And then it rolled off and fell through the stars
It came down real fast and fell on a cat
That poor little thing, it got smashed flat
