I want them to run Driven again. I saw it, but the tape I made either didn't turn out or I misplaced it.

[rant]Speaking of Driven. I have a pet peeve about that show. Shouldn't the "artist" have a career that could be measured in at least days rather than minutes before they have an episode of Driven? Lisa Marie Presley?? Give me a break.

She doesn't want to be known as her daddy's little girl. Yet I wonder if she would have been able to just call up a few people and say "So, I wanna record now" and have them actually respond if she was anyone else.

All I can say is puh-leaaaaaase. [/rant]

I hope they do put it in heavy rotation. I remember Al's "Driven" was shown once or twice, then never again. Guess they didn't consider it very exciting

Then again, Al's BTM is one of the most requested and yet there's not much drama to do with it.

For those still too depressed to eat Twinkee Weiner Sandwiches over Poodle Hat's second week numbers, here's something to cheer everyone up. Poodle Hat is still making a significant dent in the online world, it's number 20 on Billboard's internet sales chart.
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

Why should we be depressed? Almost every one of Al's CDs have done this. They always manage to eventually go platinum after time however...which is a lot more than many other CDs that just kinda float in the middle their whole lifespan and at best go gold.

That's why I never could figure out why they only ran Driven once or twice and then dropped it like the proverbial hot potato. ALL the other artists were run ad infinitum.

I'm not so sure about that. I think the last two peaked a week or two after their chart debuts.

Very good point, but there is something inherently pleasing about a good Billboard position....like a sort of mainstream acceptance.

You can't really get a mainstreamn acceptance outside of the targeted audience if you don't have a video...

I think you can....Al's videos are not played too much anyway.....I think he picks up fans every few albums.........I don't know about mainstream acceptance.......some fans are too die-hard...I was volunteering and made a neutral (not nice, but certainly not mean) about Mr. Matthews :bomb: and it didn't go off well....I'll leave it at that

QUOTE Billboard has posted this week's charts... Poodle Hat dropped to #42.

The funny thing is #43... Eminem's \"The Eminem Show.\"

That's not a fair comparison. Eminem's been on the charts for 54 weeks and peaked at #1. Al's been on the charts for 2 weeks and peaked at #17.

54? And he's still selling?

You think the only people who'd still want it are downloaders.
