Well one good thing about 2006 is I'll be 21. So I'll be able to go to as many concerts as I want. If I can afford them that is. I won't have to worry about draging my parents along. That is if I don't want too.

Its probably not as much fun by yourself.
If you don't wanna drag your parents when you're 21, just drag a friend then. I dragged a guy very unfamiliar with Al (lured him with the promise of live performances of The Saga Begins and Yoda, since he loves Star Wars) and he had a great time. Lucky guy, in his only Al concert ever, even got to meet Al after the show.

Yeah, I talked my sis into going to Jackson with me. She knew of Al, but had never seen him live. She enjoyed the show, and, like Adrian's friend, got to meet Al afterwards. I got to introduce her to him. That was too cool! So, find a friend you think might be up for a concert and some fun, and take 'em along!

wants to try and get sis to go to Jackson again, if Al plays there next tour

Not true! I went to the New Orleans show by myself. At first I didn't want to go without my boyfriend (he's out of state for a while training for a job) , but I had a blast!! I would just start gabbing with the people around me - hey, we all had something in common!
I'll be 40 in '06 too (well, actually I'll TURN 40 on November 4, '05). Glad there are other Al Gals my age here. It was funny, at tne New Orleans show I was joking about being the Old Lady there because everyone around me was so much younger and I was listening to Dr. Demento when he first played My Bologna and AORTB before most of them were even BORN!
I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint: It's in my diaper and it's NOT a toaster.

Yep *raises hand* I'd fit into that category.
I'll be turning 24 in 2006... so if he starts touring early enough...by June... and close enough to home, maybe I'll get a birthday show then... if not, then at least for my 25th hopefully.
In a way, I've been to shows by myself, but not really. At OC both times, I might have gone to Cali mostly by myself, but I was surrounded by other Al fans! Boy, was I surrounded and I loved it.
Other shows, I've dragged someone along. My dad or my friends. Two of my friends would gladly go to another show once they get the money. Afterall, the only show they've been to, they got to meet Al. They loved it too. They have a few albums, not not many, and said it was one of the best concerts they've ever been to.

How do you think I feel? My birthday is in February, and I wont get another one until 2008. Ill never get a birthday show. Unless Al starts doing birthday parties.

Aww, I'm sorry. Well, you still celebrate in off-years on the 28th, don't you? Yeah, not likely that Al will tour in winter, although he has before. You'll just have to do the one month later birthday thing. I kinda thought of AlCon as a belated one-month later birthday present. Hubby gave me spending money to use there. It was the best birthday present ever!
