Scottidog, I know this is old now, but I know what you're talking about with the Jerry Springer video. It was either during or after (I dont remember) the video for JS was made that the people in charge of the show saw it and said they wouldn't allow it because it made the show sound sleazy and for souther-white-trash (like it isnt!?!?!). So Al had to refrain from showing the video on TV but still shows that part you were talking about at his live shows, thats where you saw it.[/quote]

Hey, weirdalison, remember when you called Al's 6 second burst of sound on the end of the OTDE cd "Spasm Jam"? You were not thinking of something else. Another fan called it that when asking about it in "Ask Al". Here's the question, and Al's answer:
So, there you have it! Now, if someone can find where/when Al called this 6 second cacophony *I love that word* of sound "Bite Me", that would be great! I know from fans that's what it's called, but I'd still like to see the record of it, if possible.

What is the story behind the "Spasm Jam" at the end of the OTDE CD? (Austen Dooley)
I wanted to emulate Nirvana, who also had a song following ten minutes of silence at the end of their "Nevermind" album. But I also thought it would be a great practical joke to make the "song" a six-second burst of the most anxiety-provoking sounds imaginable, thereby scaring people out of their minds. We actually spent a lot of time recording and mixing that - adding feedback, fingernails on chalkboards, etc. We wanted to create the most annoying six seconds of audio ever recorded.
