The "Hey!"s are my favorite part of any polka.

And of course the nifty up jump the boogie stuff on Poodle Polka.

But he didn't write Money For Nothing/Beverly Hillbillies*?
Not anymore than he wrote any of the polkas. In case you haven't noticed, all the words are from the BH TV theme song.

I haven't done it-- yet-- but it sounds like buying all of Steve Jay's albums would be a good place to start. And you can munch on some of those tasty Moebius Pretzels while you listen. :)

What was I thinking? It's such a Weird Al song, I forgot about that.

Hey Seva!

One phrase in CP I wondered if you understood "jumped the shark." It means when a show has lived on past it's peak. It's all downhill after that. The phrase comes from an episode of Happy Days when Fonzi jumped a pool with a shark in it. Here's an entertaining site dedicated to Jumping The Shark.

Was Al referencing that in the Spy Hard opening?

It did look awfully similar. At this point (or rather after the point of seeing a certain scene in "There's No Going Home"), I don't put any movie allusion past Al.

I think thanks to "Wayne's World," more people have checked out "Scanners" than they would have on the movie's merits alone.

I believe "Poodle Hat" only adds Eminem and Beck to the list. Correct me if I'm wrong.

In case anyone is interested: Couch Potato has 716 words. At least according to Microsoft Word it does, cuz I sure wasn't gonna count them the hard way. Not enough toes for that.

Um, just out of curiousity, why would people be interested?

Because Weird Al fans live for trivia. That and it was a topic of discussion a while back...
