That's just awful. If the reporter had any common sense, which of course, being a reporter, he doesn't, he would have stopped the interview.algonacchick @ Jul 5 2004, 11:36 AM wrote: After the dj *remember, people, this guy was not a reporter* mentioned that Al's parents had passed away, Al said "And the interview spiraled downward". I would have taken that as a hint to move on. This guy did not.

Well, I heard the interview. The part where the dj asked Al about his parents was not nearly as bad as the comments these guys made after the interview was over. Al handled himself pretty well, and seemed calm to me, but they said he was hyper after the dj mentioned his parents. This Frank guy and his morning crew did say that they felt bad that they hurt Al, but still defended themselves, saying Al should have expected it, and that they had to ask. What really bothered me was, the dj mentioned to Al how his parents were in their '80's. Well, Al said "It doesn't matter how old they are. You're never ready for them to go." I thought he handled that well. What a dumb thing for the dj to say! I honestly feel like my heart was ripped out because of the comments made afterward. The fact that they defended themselves for asking about Al's parents several times over proves just how unprofessional they really are. *You know these morning guys, there's always more than one person talking.* They also continued to compare Al's parent's death to The Notebook *like they did during the interview*, saying it was kind of romantic that they died together. I just have a bad feeling now that I heard this for myself. Poor Al.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

Once again, that's just awful. I can't believe they would defend their ignorant, unthinking behavior. The fact that they felt the need to defend what they did after making an apology makes the apology seem insincere. The way those guys conducted an interview makes them seem unprofessional, which they are.

If you have AIM, you can send me the WAV file and I can convert it to MP3. And host it on my server.
