Hi all! This is my first time posting, but I'm a long time Al Fan!! (1984 or so)...

We went to the concert last night! It was awesome! This was our first Poodle Hat concert but 3rd Al concert (we went to 2 RWS concerts!).

We sat 13 rows from the stage on the right isle! I was the 2nd gal Al gave a scarf to during OMM. I couldn't believe it! He was standing a foot in front of me & singing to me. Unfortunately, the picture my hubby took is all blurry (he didn't know how to use my camera :( ) I have some pictures that turned out, but they are far away except for the pictures of Al signing my scarf!

I thought the crowd was into it, but subdued as no one stood up except for after Al introduced the band after Fat & after Yoda. I couldn't stand it & on the last stanza of Yoda I was on my feet screaming & singing. If you were there, you might have seen us...we were wearing white RWS tour shirts with everyone's signatures on the front.

Well, in the two AL concerts I've attended, the venues aren't standing friendly. The first one was TWS in Muncie, IN in the small (I couldn't imagine more than a 1000) theater room. The 2nd was the Indy show this tour. When a place is all seats all around, people are less likely to stand. I mean, look at the Live DVD. Everyone is sitting. Not because they aren't fans, but because the places Al plays (from what I gather) are all seats.

when I first heard Al was coming to Indy's Murat, I was hoping it'd be the Egyptian Room because that is general admission.

One of the 2 concerts we went to during RWS tour, was at Muncie. It was pretty much the same set up as far as seating, but we were on our feet the whole show! I think it has more to do with who's in the front of the crowd than anything. At Muncie it was all Ball State College students in front, but at the Murat the rows in front of us were filled with a lot of Parents/grandparents with kids(high school or younger). We had parents & a young teenager in front of us who never clapped or anything the whole show---not quite sure why they even were there if they weren't going to enjoy it. ALthough we did have a 12 year old or so a few rows behind him with his elderly parents/grandparents & they were having a great time.

Hi-
I believe the crowd at Indy remained seated due to courtesy for those in rows towards the back. I am actually glad it was in the theater as the Egyptian room usually does not have seating at all. I do remember Muncie TWS and that crowd was on its feet quite a bit as was the ISU show in Terre Haute in the Bad Hair Tour.
Glad to see others had as much fun as I did. I still am cracking up about Al's face right in Fred's camera. I figured it was someone Al was familiar with.

Glad all of you had a great time at the Indy Concert!

That's awesome, that the crowd was alive, I hate dead crowds! As I'm sure we all agree! I love standing up the entire concert!!

That's cool that he did that during Wanna B Ur Lovr with you, Fred.

Oh Shelley, I'm so glad you go those pics for Fred, I was laughing too hard to even snap my camera (sorry fred!!) I doubt it would have turned out anyhow. *giggles* That was a great moment!

Anyhow onto my review. Indy, was the most awesome show I have seen yet. Well maybe thats because I was in the 2nd row Orch pit..who knows. The comedian got my name, and used it a bit, that was interesting. for some reason, he kept looking at STupidhippie and I... was quite scary.. He was pretty good for the most part.

Onto the show, WOW.. I think he was just playing for the 2nd row Gals, and Fred of course. lol We made ourselves known there. The Nirvana Water, Purposely got spilled on us, and we were soaked. Then he kicked the 2nd cup on Kitty, her daughter and Stupid hippie and I.. soaked once again. And because we were soaked and trying to wipe the water from our eyes, Jenni unfortunately didn't realize the cup was behind her on her chair. Bummer!!

She has some good stories to tell, so i'll let her. Some interesting things happened with Al and Us. lol :whoot:

I got some lines sung to me, but I can't remember what now. I also kept getting yelled at by a 7 year old who happened to be sitting in front of me in the front row. He kept turning around and asking me to "Please Shut Up" During all the parts your suppose to recite everything *grumble*

I kept on doing it because well.. I can.

The Show was fantastic, and there was a meet n greet afterwards, I had Al sign my BHD Poster taht I have. I asked him to tatoo his name across his forehead for me and he said, "My pleasure"

I snapped quite a few pictures of the show, so once I have them up, I'll let everyone know :)
