point - probably one of the weakest sets on the tour, song-wise

counterpoint - these songs sound so much better live

all in all, still awesome. elvis, i'm the one that came up to you!

Hey BrainWady! Nice to meet you for a second. :w

Yeah, the setlist was kind of heavy on dysfunctional love songs tonight. I liked Ithaca's setlist the best so far (of the one's I've seen) but it's so much better live. This was definitely one of the better covers I've seen though -- probably the best fit for the band. If he wasn't doing funny music full time I could see Al doing music like this one.

Had a great time, as I always do seeing Al.

My first show on this tour (also going to both Apollo gigs on Thursday and Friday).

My personal highlight was hearing/seeing "Midnight Star" live, since I'd always wanted to in the 22 years I've been going to Weird Al concerts.

"Psycho Killer" was awesome - not the biggest Talking Heads fan, so I didn't recognize it at first.

Dave - was great seeing and chatting with you and Jackie before the show!

i think buffalo has had one of, if not the best set so far.

also, a little tidbit: during the show, jim brought out his telecaster and fiddled about with it for a moment. i'm thinking "he tuned this guitar down to D... are they gonna do i'll sue ya?!?!?"

nope. truck drivin song.

So my story behind this show is that I didn't realize I was going until yesterday afternoon.

When Dave and I were working through the headache that was purchasing tickets for this tour, I apparently had figured that we could make this show, and I had him pick up seats for us (so we could sit together as usual). At some point since then, I had convinced myself that, in figuring out child care for that date, we hadn't been able to work it out and had not purchased tickets for that show.

Fast forward to yesterday afternoon, and I get a message from Dave wondering why he has 4 tickets for the show (since we had been going on about how we couldn't make it). I was like... uh... *checks old messages*... uh...

Anyway, one frantic call to my saintly mother later. childcare was secured, and we were booking it to Huntington. And after seeing how the setlist panned out for the evening, we were very thankful to have made it!

Seriously. :D I was at the Atlantic City show, and sure wish this would have been the setlist instead. Thankfully we can hear all of these when the tour is complete.

Well, it was worth the wait. I'm 15 shows deep, and this was the best setlist yet!
