I don't know if I'll actually follow through on it, but right now I'm toying with the idea of maybe doing a different cover song every single night on the 2018 tour.
Also what if they weren't all straight covers either like a "Punk Goes Pop" sort of thing where they cover a song in a completely different style now THAT would be AMAZING :accordion:

I'm kinda torn on Al singing a straight song at every show. I have no doubt he could pull it off, and pull it off well, but if I'm going to a "Weird Al" concert I'm going for his comedic music...guess I'll need to think some more on this.
Also, I would love the idea of going back to free meet and greets. I feel like I missed out on a big part of the experience last tour simply because I couldn't afford it (there are 6 in my family and that adds up). I've met Al before and really wanted my wife and kids to have the same experience. Worse, the venue I was at had a fence surrounding the first 15 or so rows of the stage so you couldn't even get close to talk with other band members and grab their autographs as I've done in the past, without the more expensive tickets. Kinda put a damper on what was otherwise a very enjoyable evening.

FINALLY! Someone who is a new fan! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person in the whole, wide world who has crammed to learn everything I can about this wonderful, kind soul.

I discovered Al in 2016, and elsewhere in this forum you will find in depth posts about my life before vs. after Al.

In one sentence, I can tell you why he has impacted me so:

Al was one of the main reasons I want to stay alive.

OK. Back on topic!

To be able to see Al and the guys just playing and singing would be a dream come true. In fact, they could take it one step further and do a whole concert like they did the medley in past concerts. It would carry me back to my coffee house days! Yeah, I'm that old :yay:

this sounds really awesome, I love bands with a huge tracklist that just come out and play whatever and you have no idea what you're going to hear that always makes shows like that really fun. definetly looking forward to this.

I'm really digging the idea of a tour like this for Al. Another cool idea would be to bring back some of the parodies he used to do that never featured on an album. It would be fun to hear Chicken Pot Pie, Green Eggs and Ham and some of those songs again.
