While I have no knowledge of the subject, I just want to point out, the people at the merch table when I saw him said that all this stuff was in Al's house and his wife was like 'get rid of it'. Maybe the stuff isn't selling THAT well (The more expensive things) and that's just how they are trying to get rid of it?

Edit: Or now that I actually look at the picture... it makes even MORE sense, stuff he had laying around but not enough of one item to put on the merch table.

I will still accept that story with a grain of salt. A very tiny grain.

Yeah, considering how expensive similar items were - I highly doubt all of that would be in a $50 bag.

I mean, Al has always joked about getting rid of stuff in storage, his wife wanting to clean out stuff, etc. So, I wouldn't be surprised if it mentioned for the rare old merch stuff, but they certainly aren't selling at bargain prices.

Al himself told me it was stuff from his garage a couple years ago when I had him sign a Lasagna single I bought from the merch stand during the Mandatory World Tour.

It's probably true.

then again, one would have to ask what would compel somebody to make a FAKE 'grab bag' simply for the purpose of posting about it on Reddit under false pretenses, but then again this IS the Internet

Reddit is a garbage website. Many people make posts simply to get upvotes which translates into karma points (which as far as I know, do nothing other than making your other posts more likely to appear on the front page) so there is a ton of incentive to make up stuff on that site if you think you can get away with it.

Im pretty sure Dave said in an early review that these were going to pop up later in the tour. If it wasnt him it was someone else on herr

Looks legit to me. They were talking about adding grab bags early on in the tour. You'd get a tote bag full of stuff like some random CD singles and other stuff. It would be all random, the buyer would have no say in what was included or what they got, but they would make sure each grab bag had good stuff in it. The price they were tossing around at the time was $50, which I thought was more than fair for what they were discussing as the tote bag alone is something like $15 and CD singles go between $5-$10 each on eBay.

My next show is in Santa Fe in a few days. If they still have them at that point, I can confirm if no one gets to do it sooner.

If they had them in Dallas I am annoyed because I saw nothing mentioned or any behind the table in the small corner they had for merch. I had about $75 left burning a hole in my pocket but saw nothing else that I "needed".
