The title for this tour is even better than the "No Commercial Potential Tour". I have never been so excited for an Al tour...IT'S HAPPENING!!!

EDIT: Guys, on facebook a couple weeks ago (when he announced the tour), Al used a picture from the Mandatory Fun album cover booklet that I edited the seam out of. He used my crappy edit that was only ever posted on here...what?

I'm excited! What originals do y'all want to see? I'm hoping for Nature Trail to Hell, Your Horoscope for Today, and ones that haven't even ever been performed like Virus Alert and Don't Download This Song.

Also, what do you think the likelihood of a polka medley on this tour is? That would fit the theme of changing every night; it'd be so exciting!!

All of them! Those are some of my favourite Al songs. Hearing them in an acoustic style, as a concurrent guitar player, would be quite lovely.

So is this a legitimate acoustic tour, or just stripped down? The facebook post makes it sound like it is actually acoustic (like the unplugged medley last tour), whereas the preview he did back for the 501st was just a stripped down concert, still all the instruments.

Al said a while back that it wouldn't necessarily be an acoustic tour, but that it could be like one in the sense that this show has less frills than his standard show. He called the last show he did a preview of next year too. My expectations are that he'll be doing an extended version of that set, with several moving variables from night to night, depending on how the band feels... or possibly the audience?

Also, as shorthand, I think I'll just call this the Vanity Tour or something. Now that an announcement and name have been officially declared, this feels A LOT more real haha.

EDIT for older songs I wanna see/hear:

I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead
Nature Trail To Hell
Dog Eat Dog
Melanie
Airline Amy

This list had to be cut down from the much larger version I drafted. Oh boy.

The original page has been deleted, but it looks like they'll be playing April 24 at the Stafford Centre in Stafford, Texas.
