This is something I would have to think about a bit more. I mean, I can't imagine seeing an Al show without Parodies, or without costume changes. It would certainly be a change. I am hoping that the entire show wouldn't be acoustic, but rather normal, just minus the costumes. That would allow for more songs, and it would be amazing. Either way, I am always excited for what he has planned.

Can't wait, if this is going to happen. Would be awesome to see a slew of originals never done before and would be cool if he kept a couple acoustic medleys in the middle. Would be able to cover so much us hardcore fans have been asking for year after year. Everything You Know Is Wrong would have to be done, and UHF would be a must!
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

I'm 100% okay with this. Hardcore fan focus? This is exactly what we've been waiting for! I want more full-scale original performances, and this sounds exactly like the sort of show I've been wanting to see!

I think the show would work well if Al decided to move all the "big hits" into the medley and just play the rest normally.

This would be amazing! I'd love to see this happen! I'd be sort of sad to see the costume changes go, but the rest of the show would totally make up for that. Better start saving my money. This would be something I'd be over the moon about if I got to go, as long as he does it for sure.

I would love to see a show like this. Though I have to wonder if a show without all the big hits would make it across the water.

I suppose I'll start saving money just in case.
Love and peace.

I love these!!! :inlove:
I love him just being his adorable self, not trying to be funny, just being real.
I'd pay extra for the opportunity to see a concert like this.
But, it would probably cost him less and the venues would be smaller, so.......I bet it would be affordable for us and profitable for him.

This would be my dream concert!

Considering he would money likely need to fly 6 people over and then just rent a van I'm sure it would be very likely he would do a quick European tour. I'm very excited by the possibilities but also worried I won't get as many shows. At the same time my company owns a small theatre that is the perfect size for one of these shows so I will definitely start pestering

By reading this article more and more, I am thinking that there is no way it is going to be an "acoustic only" tour. I feel like acoustic tour would lend itself to smaller venues, and these smaller venues would sell out way too fast. I would assume he would do the show normally, with the full band and stuff, and have an acoustic section that is a lot longer. As for no parodies, you would think he feels obligated to perform certain ones, maybe just Amish Paradise, Yoda, The Saga Begins, and maybe White and Nerdy. When he says "stripped down", I personally think it is alluding to the fact that there will be no video clips, and no costume changes. This is going to be a normal concert, with songs back to back to back. That's just my opinion. What do you guys think?

I don't think acoustic, I think stripped down. No costumes, no video, no backing tracks. Just Al and TBitB. And yes smaller venues, but since he won't be supporting an album there won't be as much promotion. The average person is going to look at it and say "This guy hasn't put anything out in 4 years, and he's playing the Sellersville Theatre instead of the Keswick. I'm not going to waste my money" But at the same time you are going to have the hardcore fans at the show. Will you have to grab tickets as soon as they go on sale? You bet. Will it be a more memorable experience? Almost certainly.

The issue with this as I see it, is that if there are limited to no video clips, how much time would Al feel comfortable performing without breaks? I mean, I know Al used to do shows with minimal breaks before, but the amount of content he has that could fill a concert is pretty extensive. I like the 2 hour length of the show as-is, so I'm wondering if that will stay the same.

Al could probably have the band do extended openers and closers for some of the songs to ensure more frequent breaks for him, but then, the band won't get the same breaks.
