Very poor quality. Think I wore it out back then. So old it still had the old The Wall sticker. Back when they were still in business.

Shame. Had to toss it.
I bet your wall sticker came from the same place my wall sticker came from

Technically the parent company, Transworld Entertainment, is still in business. Old The Wall locations have mostly turned into FYE which is the same company. I honestly wonder if they re-branded their signature store into FYE just so they didn't have honor the lifetime guarantee stickers...

Now I wanna watch this film because of Weird Al despite it's poor review.

Regardless of what you think of the movie, Weird Al doing the theme is EPIC.

Honestly, the best part of Spy Hard is the opening by Al. The rest of it is pretty uneven, to put it kindly. It was originally written by Seltzer And Firedberg and if you're familiar with their other steaming turds of cinema (Date Movie, Meet The Spartans, Disaster Movie, etc) you'll recognise their ugly little fingerprints over it. But, as I've heard, it was heavily rewritten in part by Leslie Nielsen himself which would explain why there's a few decent jokes in it.

It's worth watching as a Leslie Nielsen movie, and it's better than some of his others Frankly...
but Al's intro is definitely the best part.

Just watched it a couple weeks ago. He is definitely the best part. Always get this in my head when I watch Bond movies too, can't help it.

Just watching Thunderball right now and the them song for it "Thunderball" is the exact one Al was going for in style. The video is also just spoofing the opening video to the movie. I probably realized this long ago and forgot but the vocal delivery and ideas definitely were from Thunderball with Connery. Could always tell he was going for a Tom Jones style here but anyway if this was already talked about, sorry, anyways he replaced Don Black's lyrics so well with Spy Hard, glad I know where the ideas came from now. Leslie Nielson and Al probably both agreed that song would be the best choice for the movie, given that it was perfect for Al's vocal sound and most Spy movie fans would recognize it even though Thunderball was not one of the best 007 movies. The song was one of the best. :peace:
