Hopefully these remasters will be done with dynamic range in mind. I'd love to see some of the newer albums given some room to breathe, and I'd hate to see the older albums brickwalled into oblivion.

Al's mentioned in recent radio interviews that this whole collection is possibly going to be released on vinyl.
Love and peace.

I will say that i heard from a very reliable source last summer that this was the plan and that the box may be something very special as well. But I had also been told that it would be out for Christmas 2015 so I'm not holding my breath until I see a release date

Al talked about this on the latest Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast episode. He mentions that the collection will come in an accordion-shaped box and have a rarities disc which includes Polkamon among other things: http://www.earwolf.com/episode/almost-parasites/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

He mentioned that Spy Hard would probably be on it, and that they are trying to get You're Pitiful again. He also said they're trying for a few of the early songs before the first album - maybe Pac-Man or It's Still Billy Joel To Me?? - and he also mentioned possibly including the bathroom recording of My Bologna again even though it's on Permanent Record.
(I asked Al at CBB if there was any chance for Nobody Here But Us Frogs, and it didn't seem like the answer was yes. He said those who want those songs seem to have found a way of getting them.)

And!! Scott also asked will there be any new songs because isn't that usually what happens with box sets is that one new song is included? To which Al sheepishly replied, "oh is that what they do??? |) "

Guess I better put some skrilla aside, gotta have the rarities disc. Sounds awesome! Hopefully isn't too pricy.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!
