Re: POLL: Which Convention Proposal Is Better?
I must say I prefer much of Team Groovy's proposal to the other team's and I'm not sure how they lost. "Stupid Fest" has got to be the worst title for an Al convention and should have immediately disqualified them for being something that no one would ever want to be a part of. Stupid stupid stupid! (although Alapalooza ain't much better.) also, some more specifics on who the comedy acts might have been (Patton Oswalt? Tony Goldfart?) would have helped. Podeba's proposal was not detailed enough in a number of spots. how would the Q&A be with Al and the band? how do I get to be one of the few to ask a question of the panel for example.
the fact that Al was not even at AlFest means that it would be unlikely for him to make a major appearance at either event. whether he would rather sit on a stage and answer dumb questions or play a mini concert is a toss up, though both are highly unlikely I think. I could imagine him performing in the same way he did for The Meltdown, where he plays a couple acoustic songs, everyone there loves it, and Al moves on to more important things like recording new songs (get on it Al).
yall missed me on this one.

At Q+As at conventions, they're is a microphone in the aisles and people line up to speak into them at the guests.

Interesting poll results. Did Jigawatt get it wrong?
