Budget Proposal – A lot of Ad Revenue will go towards the budget. There should be some sort of incentive for donating money to the WOWAY forums server budget, like 5$ off a ticket. A Kickstarter or IndieGOGO is also plausible as a donation pool (In this case, IndieGOGO would be a better option, because there is an option to keep funds raised even if it doesn’t meet the goal.) Personal loans may be needed to meet goal if still short. Luckily, the ticket sales (general, VIP, Vendor and Artist table) as well as the auction and merch table should gain more than enough afterwards.

Booking Proposal – Well, the easiest thing to do would be call and or email/social media, yes? I think Al would be the easiest to reach, and we can mention that any surplus money we make can go to Nina’s education fund.




Itinerary –

Saturday

4 – (50 m) Opening Ceremonies: Welcome to ALAPALOOZA! An introduction to the staff and guests, outlining the days activities (don’t forget to mention showings and autograph times!) and locations and things to do in the area. A guest should announce the event and it would be nice is Al and the band was there to show off themselves a bit!

5 – (50m)Wheel of Fish – Come play Wheel of Fish! Prizes available (or not!)

6 – (50m) Karaoke/Lip Sync Contest – Who is the best singer? Karaoke and Lipsync are two different categories. Singers can perform solo or with others to make sure the time goes by quick enough.

7- (50m) Costume Contest – Who can pull of the most accurate, wild, zany, and more impressive Al costume! Who can get it bang on, to the point we think it’s the man himself? (Award levels include Children – costume [ first second] . Adult – Construction [ first second[, lookalike [first second]

8 – ( 1 hour) *sound Test* - Staff ready the stage

930-1030- (1 hour) Live show! – a shortened live show just for the fans!

11 –(min 30m) Meet and Greet – VIP ONLY – for those with the prestige VIP ticket, come meet the band and the guests after the show!

Sunday

10 (50m) WOWAY get together: Forumites gather! A block of time to meet and greet each other, and hopefully recruit others!

11(50m) Weird Al + Bermuda QnA: Come talk to Al and Bermuda, ask them questions, and get silly!

12 (50m) ACE TRIVIA : How well do you know Al and the band? Teams of 2-4 compete against each other to answer questions about the boys. There will be about 4-5 rounds (ideally each round being ten minutes)

1 (50m) Jim + Steeve + Ruben QnA: Come talk to Steeve, Jim and Ruben, ask them questions, and be amazed!

2 (50m) Dr. Demento + Others QnA: Come talk to Dr.D and actors from UHF, music videos, and more!
3 (50m) Auction: Come enjoy people yelling over each other for some signed, smelly swocks! All proceeds go to next years convention!

4 (1 hour) Closing ceremonies: Alas, all good things must end. We will reveal the winners of all the contests and give them their prizes, and thank everyone for their time and love. Will address next years conventions date + location if possible.

Starting at 4pm Saturday: Vendors Open

Starting at 5pm on Saturday: Fanart contest and Silent auction open. Fanart will be posted to a public space for attendees to vote on. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Silent Auction will be open for perusing and bidding on.

At 830, the Vendor’s Room closes for the day, and no more submissions for the Fanart contest will be accepted.

Starting at 10am Sunday, the Vendor’s room opens.
At 330 pm Sunday, The Vendors room, Fanart contest and Silent Auction is closed for tallying.

Wow, that’s a lot of information. I wonder if anyone besides myself and the mystery judge is actually going to read all of that. Of course I read it closely because I read all deals very carefully (especially that terrible deal Obama is making with Iran, one of the worst deals ever negotiated!).

Now before we hear the results from our mystery judge who is here anxiously waiting to come out, my advisor has a few thoughts he would like to share.

He was so fired up about these proposals and since he has absolutely no background whatsoever in business or convention planning, he wanted to share some of his unqiue expertise. Ben, let’s hear what you had to say about these presentations.

I definitely think our schedule is better. Pobedas is awkwardly paced and I don't get why people try to their on "breaks" in there. Most cons don't schedule "breaks". It's just an empty event, and even then, there is usually *something* going on.

Sounds like they did a lot more looking into the other sections, though.

Both of the Cons here have their pros and cons (no pun intended). Stupidfest has a terrible name that does not scream Al at all. For all someone who just sees the name knows, it could refer to the Obama Administration! It also could have a few more panels with people who know Al or have ties to him. I would have enjoyed more details about which comedy bands are performing. Alapalooza’s biggest flaw is the different showrooms. I understand the reasoning behind it, but the idea that anyone would rather watch an episode of The Weird Al Show over a panel is unimaginable! The fact that the con just sort of ends without any big finale and just with drinks also hurts it a tiny bit. Also, we want to bring everyone together, not separate them more than Obama is doing to our once glorious country! Let’s restore American to what it once was! Ben Carson! 2016!

It’s time now to introduce the mystery judge.

A lot of people have been wondering who the mystery judge would be, and there have been a lot of guesses. Frankly a lot of the people you mentioned would have been great judges, and hopefully we’ll keep them in mind for Season 2. We haven’t gotten official word on whether we’ve been picked up for a second season, but this show has been so popular I can’t imagine that there won’t be.

Imagine if I hosted this from the Oval Office. Could you imagine that? It’s going to happen.

Okay. What was I talking about? The mystery judge. Right.

Folks, it is really exciting to have him with us tonight. What a legend.
He’s been around WOWAY since the very beginning. And since 2006, his breakthrough radio station, Talking Taco Radio, has been the highest rated streaming audio program on WOWAY for ten years running, keeping all of us at the very forefront of the latest Bohemian Rhapsody covers.

He also introduced the world to one of the forum’s most popular members, Vinkesh the Vicious.

It's obvious Nathan knows cons. The only "experience" I have is being around when Alfest was being done and executed. I can't say who won. The biggest reaction I had to their proposal was that it would cost a TON of money to pull off.
