I generally really like the animated music videos (especially Close But No Cigar and Whatever You Like) but some seemed a little unnecessary and/or pointless (TMZ and... uh... are we including Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me??). If they sacrificed the not-so-good animated videos to make one little cheap live action one (like Craigslist) I would be ok with that :)

I don't like all of the animated videos, but I appreciate that Al is giving support to some imaginative animators.

I think videos are fun, regardless of what they are, however, I feel that for the last few albums, Al's live action videos have been sacrificed. On PH we didn't have any, which was understandable, and on SOL we only had one. I swear I thought "Canadian Idiot" was supposed to have had a video... If he had made one that song would've, without a doubt, charted even higher. This last album had one and a half (Craigslist). I wish we got a new live action one... Party in the CIA?

I agree with that. I totally understand that he wants to give the animators a lot of freedom, and I know with Drive-Thru he had a say in how the lead character looked, but he really should make an animated version including HIS vision for the song as well. I know full well that when you write a song (parodies especially) it appears visually and you think of all these great images for your songs. He has to make sure that vision is shared with those who choose to animate it.

Bill Plympton just accidentally got a copy of the wrong song. That's all it was. :)

Have you seen the video for "TMZ" (aka the "Ode to the Posterior")?
