Ever Felt Really Cool While Listening To Weird Al?

Post by TMBJon »

Before Straight Outta Lynwood came out, I got an mp3 of White & Nerdy and burned it to a CD. I had just moved to Hollywood, and I blasted it out the window. No one else had it at the time. I felt really cool but maybe it was more because I had just moved to Hollywood? Not sure, but anyway I didn't like the other topic because I usually always feel embarrassed anyway.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

I've done that before, at the grocery store...in, like, 2008. But I still felt cool.

I remember one time in middle school I encountered three guys who were all singing "Jerry Springer" together while walking in the hallway, so I joined in and nobody was thrown off or anything like that; we all just kept singing it.

I just thought it was nifty that I didn't even know these guys and yet I was just instantly accepted without question thanks to a Weird Al song.

I put Al in all my PowerPoint presentations for school, which makes me feel cool. Except for my rushed book project, I used Scott Joplin's The Entertainer.

I'm better than everyone else because I listen to Weird Al.

That was what two of my friends were doing one day as we waited for our moms to pick us up from our middle school :P... and that's how my fandom started.

Ah, middle school. That's when my fandom started as well. It's a good thing, because I don't think I would have survived junior high without Al. :D
