Only doing commercials isnt bad. Its a national spot thats gonna air for a while. He's probably gonna make more off that than he did off of UHF.

Al's Pal Ken Ober, host of MTV's Remote Control, passed away yesterday from a heart attack. Al was a contestant on the show, and practically swept the lightening round and indentified all the videos in the grand prize round to win $5,000 for the T.J. Martell Foundation. I loved Remote Control. RIP, Ken.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Sad that he's "only" doing commercials now, but glad that's still doing something. Hope he catches a big break soon, since he was very nice in person and the best of the AL FEST panelists. :Y

Dave
I saw that commercial recently and yes, that is definitely David Bowe. According to IMDB, he is still appearing in supporting roles on various TV shows, as he has done throughout his career. (Unfortunately, I cannot forget the creepy character he played on the original Beverly Hills, 90210! :o )

So, I'm listening to Pat Sajak do an interview with Gil Gross on KGO, and the subject of people jumping on other people's backs and causing injury came up. Pat said the only time a person came close to actually hurting him was "Weird Al" Yankovic during celebrity week. He said the jump itself wouldn't have been so bad, it was the riding him around the stage that hurt his back. I've always noticed the look on poor Pat's face in watching that show, and thought he looked pained.

Pat just chuckled and said that he was not going to sue Al.

Yeah, I saw that! Too bad he never danced in front of a math equation. :online:
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

He was on Good Morning America this morning to talk about his win, and help start preparing a Thanksgiving dinner.

I went out to dinner at a burger joint in the Valley tonight and saw Scott Auckerman there. Needless to say I did not interrupt his meal, but it was still funny to see him. Actually, I didn't even recognize him. My girlfriend did.

I guess NBC has a lot of primetime hours to fill...
