The Big Absence Topic: Once More, With Feeling

I've been kinda away I guess. Not sure if I'm fully "coming back" or whatever yet. Been busy with life stuff including moving out of my parents' house, transferring jobs, and spending time with new boyfriend. Al is still very present in all of that and by moving out I'm realizing just how much Weird Al merch I actually have holy jeez, and Gus is being initiated bit by bit. He already knows I'm in love with Al and is not jealous and plays along and you would like him. He likes what he's heard so far and references it in casual conversation. Pretty sure he's the one. Anyway basically with all of this happening I don't have a lot of time to check/post on woway, but just know that doesn't mean my love of Al has stopped or anything. So yeah. Just checking in.

I'm still wondering, Alicia - is everything okay with us? You seem to be annoyed by me and the fact you don't respond to anything I send forward scares me into thinking this. Because of my terrible social skills, I pretty much expect anyone to respond to at least my first message.

Also, if I seem to disappear for a while, it's because of anxieties about my mental health clinic appointment and a vaccination (which I might be having on the same day as my appointment, and to make things worse, involves an actual needle. I'm fine with those things inserted into my gums, BUT NOT STABBED INTO MY ARM.). I need some time to calm myself down and also keep myself in line with school work. The appointment will also be difficult because I find it difficult to talk about my feelings, and of course, it will involve that. But I'll be doing fine.

WOWAY is a good depression buster/time waster anyways. Couldn't go a day without it, so I will most likely still post anyways... How many times have I said I'll be absent for a while, then end up just being the same? Shows how much I love your company, guys.

edit: found it pretty useless to tell people what the vaccine protects against, because I'm sure if you look up all the vaccines you have to get as a minor in the UK what I'm getting is on that list.

Really happy to hear all this, Alicia! Looks like things are going wonderfully for you, and it couldn't happen to a better person!

Gus sounds like a keeper and an awesome guy; I hope he's the one for you, too! Should be epic when you take him to an Al concert in the future. I think you'll have him hooked on Al completely, way before that.

Well, I did read through it, but I'm still anxious. I'm still kinda dodgy right now due to all that future stuff I mentioned, especially the vaccine... and I'm unsure if it's just how I'm feeling, Jon, but what you said was kinda rude... so I'll just leave it there.

Jon wasn't being rude at all. Heds, he's always been your friend and one of your greatest supporters, too. He was just pointing out that Alicia's post explained why she hasn't been around or responded to ANYONE, not just you. She's got a lot on her plate, as we can see. And she said she still loves this place, Al, etc. so all is good. People would tell you flat out if they had an issue with you.

As for the future stuff, just try to relax. Write down what you're feeling so you can talk to the specialist. That way, if you feel ashamed or worried, you can just hand over what you've written and that's the first step. Maybe talk about these feelings where you think people are upset with you and you worry. Maybe they can also help you to interpret emotions and social situations a little better. It's a tough and long road, but you're walking on it. You'll be fine.

As for the vaccine, modern medicine is amazing. I've been put on enough meds to fill a pharmacy and I'm still alive. You'll be fine.
