Yay for my two favorite singers (Al and Alice) in the top 5!
Boo for KISS being nominated before Alice (but that is a whole different rant I don't want to go on right now...:P).
Good job everyone!

Yep, there most certainly has been an influx of followers on the Twitter account today...trying to figure out how to keep that momentum going for the Tweet-In.

Some of my favorite comments from twitter. These two mention Rush, who were #2 in the poll:

@alyankovic Surely, it's time for some prog accordion and a polka-fied "Tom Sawyer."

@alyankovic Congrats! Clearly you now need to do a #Rush parody

I like this comment, too:

Al and Alice - for Hall of Fame. Now that is an induction ceremony I would watch
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I was really excited to see that. I was fully expecting some sneering, sarcastic comment from Rolling Stone, and I'm really glad they took it seriously.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

What does Tom Sawyer have to do with the campaign?
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

"Tom Sawyer" was a great song by Rush, who were the #2 pick on the Rolling Stone readers' poll.

All right, the "Plain Dealer's" web site finally got the bugs out of their system (due to some constant badgering by...um, someone), and now everyone can post write-in comments to the annual Rock Hall readers poll!

http://www.cleveland.com/music/index.ss ... rving.html

You do need to register a username to the site first, but it's free to register and you can even select the "don't bother me" option when you sign up. Click here to register and then go to the poll!

As said earlier, this year they're doing write-in choices like how one posts a blog comment, so just click the "Post a comment" link under the poll and have at it.

The poll is open until October 11.

So, tell your friends, tell your neighbors, tell everybody you know to go write-in a vote for Al!

Just an annoying reminder to all that the "Plain Dealer" poll ends in less than a week, so if you haven't posted a "write-in comment" yet, please do so.

I'm not checking the poll's comments because if I start then it will surely lead to madness and I won't be able to sleep without refreshing it again and again until a new one's been added, but a quick scan leads me to believe that Al seems to currently be in the lead of the write-in comments...but since there were only 17 comments at that point, I don't know how big of an accomplishment that could be.

Go vote! :)
