Which I assume is why Greg wants to find the actual source if possible before putting the quote in his doc.

Is submitting material still do-able?

As far as on-camera interviews go, I'm sorry, but the time has now officially passed.

I appreciate the continued interest, but I like to think there's been enough time for everyone to submit their own interviews or at least to make arrangements with me privately (as a couple others had). Folks have been taping interviews since at least last year's tour, and I've said at least on the blog that Al Fest was going to be the loose deadline for gathering interviews, so there's been more than enough time and a fair enough heads up. If I keep waiting for people to send stuff in, then I will never get this done.

On the campaign site, I will soon update the "wishlist" page with what I could still use from people.

But as far as whether or not the Nirvana quote was ever officially "published," that's a good question. I really don't know. But that "Fresno Bee" article made a reference to it, so something had to have been printed or broadcast about it or at least got around.

Do you have a link to the Fresno Bee article? I'd say the starting point might be contacting that reporter.

Barely. I have a link to the Google news archive search results listing that refers to the quote in its summary (head spinning yet?)

Google news link (assuming I can actually copy and paste such a link)

I suppose the smart thing would be to ask Al, or Bermuda straight out about it

:smacks head: Yeah, I guarantee an email to Bermuda would resolve this issue right away.
