There was an interview recently (a year or two?) on Speak Easy????? And Al mentions he drinks "once a month". Whether that's one drink or one day, who knows. He could even be lying about once a month! He was drinking on the show (The girliest drink they could muster, which was a strawberry... daiquiri? cobbler???).

Does Suzanne drink? Maybe his once a month privilege is to chill out with her.

Back to business....

"The Compleat Al, The Weird Al Show, and Backlot UHF" will be on Shout Factory TV on October 1st in celebration of Al's birthday (which is technically the 23rd).

He'll be appearing at a giant nerd-fest here:

with a bunch of people who are heavily into tech.

Trans-Pacific Partnership & Al:

"Basically 'fair use' is dead. Even parody and humor is no longer supported so you'll even see Youtube videos get taken down or forced to pay a fee."

"So....Weird Al's career will now be at the mercy of copyright trolls."

Could Al get into any trouble?

I don't know that TPP limits fair use, not to say I support the TPP in any way, however the examples given by that redditor are not at all cases of fair use, and it seems like they have a limited understanding of what it constitutes. Having said all of that, fair use is protected by the First Amendment, not an international treaty, so it is highly unlikely that fair use as it pertains to a music parody artist would be affected.

Not all people who aren't mean are nice :)

No, I mean it's nice they know his birthday date. I wonder if he got up and checked social media on his day just to see who would say happy birthday to him. On twitter and that.

Considering he does this every day, I would assume the answer is yes.

Today....

The Internet: "Al, what's your favorite Halloween candy?"

Al: "Candy corn. It's too tiny for someone to fit a razor blade inside it. Better safe than sorry."

Did anyone see this?-- Didn't post a link because it's only one sentence in a group of other people's quotes.
