On this question on yahoo answers, the person who got the best answer was totally WRONG! Accordion all the way!

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 554AAIErrm

It does have a couple of Al mentions, so it's not completely off-topic.

You could make the accordion rock, but chances are it will still sound polka-ish. Get the guitar if you want to rock! Ps.. accordions do not attract a lot of girls. ;) But then again that is just my opinion.

Accordions attract girls like me!!!!

(but then again who on EARTH would want to do that? :P )

I play, and love it, but if he wants to play guitar... Whatever makes him happy!

Who'd have thought that accordion players get better tips?

Works for me 8)

That person did have a point, lots of people play guitar, but honestly (when not on WOWAY of course) the vast majority of your friends probably have never even SEEN an accordion in real life!!!!!

Really nice article in the Ventura County Reporter.
after everything that’s happened in the past quarter-century, “Weird” Al Yankovic has no imitators. He stands alone. Al exists as entirely his own man; an artist who is wholly his own individual adult human being. And he never gave up the thing that made him unique, and this is the shining example that we who were outcasts took away from those deeply sucky post-Nixon ’80s.

Although I didn’t know it at the time, this encouragement and confidence in staying true to oneself was in fact a practical ideal for living — that if something seemed weird it did not mean that it was psychically harmful or heralded the dead stare of friends who did not want to understand.

And an article from a different paper about Al's math teacher from Lynwood High who's retiring.

R.J. Fletcher is mentioned this list of movie a-holes.

Warning: there's a bit of profanity in this.

That was great! Nice find, Mystik!
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!
