Oh wow! I can't believe I'm reading this so late after everyone else. Such sad news. It's never easy to lose a furry member of the family. My girls are not going to be very happy when they hear this. ;(

She had just turned twelve, that's pretty impressive for a a dog.

Yea, but not terribly old for a small dog like her.

*worries about her small dog*

Allison, I just checked out a site called dogbreeds.com, and the life expectancy of a toy poodle is 12-15 years. Unfortunately, Bela was lost on the short end of that span. Yorkies have the same life expectancy. Perhaps yours will make it towards the 15 year mark, or even longer. It is sad that Bela is gone, but we all know she was loved.

This wasn't a sudden thing- she had been sick for quite some time. Otherwise she probably could have lived to 15.

Aww, I didn't know that. Well, then she is in a better place now.

I kinda doubt he'll make it that long, unfortunately. His kidneys are bad. He turned 11 in September.
I'm sorry to hear that Bela was ill for a while. I hope she didn't suffer too much.
