Personally I love Loudon Wainwright III. Folk music, but he also has very funny songs.

Re: Bands/artists You Might Like If You Like Weird Al
Last year I've been active with my own music (as you all know, I play the drums) and my latest band is basically an parody band.
The band I'm now playing in is originally an UK band and they've already performed in USA. The singer is now living in the Netherlands and that's where I came in.
The band is called Pyrates! . We make folk music in a pirate style. You are probably wondering how that's going to work, well.. here's a video of Pyrates! with the old band members. De singer is still the same singer, the other 2 guys left the band..
We try to make people laugh a bit while making old sea chanties and convert them into a Folk style Pirate music.. So, lot's of arrrs and ayes .
Today we've opened up our online shop to pre-order the very first Album of Pyrates! For only $15 (incl sending all the way from NL) you will get one. If we have enough people, we will go to the USA again to do an actual show (maybe a support act for Weird Al ??).
You can also listen to our teaser for the album which can be found on soundcloud
So tell me, what do you think of this?

For some reason I figured nobody here would approve of Steel Panther. Good job Ryan.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

I like them. I discovered them some time ago but have not had a chance to hear more of their stuff.
Is my dude a dweeb?
