I was not part of the forum when this happened but was very shocked and saddened by it. My heart really went out to Al and his family and especially to Nina who had a very short amount of time with her grandparents.

I am glad that Suzanne had the quick thinking to get a hold of Al before news reached him via media...that would have been an awful way of finding out about your parents.

I am thankful to these people because they must have been awesome to have rasied such a wonderful person such as Al. You can really see the affects of their love and good parenting in the type of person that their son grew to be.

I am sure that the legacy Nick and Mary would be happiest about is that their beloved son is such a good dad to his own child.
