I know it's unlikely, but I hope this means he's prepping all of us for an upcoming parody of "Africa", now that Weezer has kinda revived it. He satiated my polka medley craving with THP, but now I'm starting to go through song parody withdrawal.

Back in my youth I wrote a parody of "Africa" called "Algebra" (basically about how much I hated algebra). I'm sure Al could improve on that.

Maybe Al finally got the chance to sit down and watch Black Panther recently and liked it so much he wanted to write a Toto Africa parody about it?

Maybe he figured it would work because the film turned out to be massively popular and made boatloads of money?

Maybe he decided this was the right time to revive the trend of writing parodies of classic rock songs about them current hit movies (see Yoda, Jurassic Park, TSB etc) that he seems to have let fall by the wayside since "Ode To A Superhero"?

This is me predicting there will not be a parody of "Africa" about Black Panther.

Yeah, I know there's enough reasons for him NOT to do this besides just the fact that enough months have gone by since the film's release to make it seem too oddly dated. That didn't seem to be a concern of his when he wrote OTAS but times are different now and peoples' memories and attention spans are getting shorter by the minute.

No parody....but this cryptic tweet from Weezer (Which Al has since favorited) suggests the Weirdzer bromance isn't over....

It’s kind of funny I guess? I guess I don’t really see the point, it’s just Al lip syncing to Weezer’s cover of Africa which as far as cover songs go is not very good.

Actually... a full on parody video! This is amazing beyond words.
Al parodying a video IN a music video of the same artist!

Thank you to Al, Rivers, and whoever else made this happen.
Do we know who directed this video?

You are looking at it as a Weird Al video when in fact it's a Weezer video.
What is the point of any music video, really? They are all just people lip syncing.
