It all depends on how tired he is, how long he is inside with VIPs and how far they have to go to the next show. There's no clear cut average

Well, one more sleep and I'll get to see Al again!!!! I'm beyond over the moon about this. I got my coworker to trade days with me so that I could take the whole day off tomorrow. As much as I Love my job of wildlife rehab tech, I would be flying so high tomorrow that the Eagle would have to reach up and grab me out of the sky. I will be going back Saturday morning, but I'll still be buzzing from the WAY Experience, so that will not be a problem. Of course, I'm still going to hang out by the bus after the concert. I don't know if I'll be able to meet him; at this point, it would be icing on the cake. Oh, heck...who am I kidding? It would be the WHOLE cake and a side of icing!!!

I think he's in my home state of Texas tonight, namely Houston. I know my fellow Texans Love him, based on the videos that I've seen. Y'all enjoy him, but send him on back down here to the Gulf Coast asap.

Wow! I actually cannot remember how I got along without Al, his music, his beautiful soul (of course, the outside of him is pretty cute, too :inlove: ), and of course, this forum of great people who feel like I do about him!! Thanks, y'all, for being here. :gaga:

These are from the show in Biloxi last night :inlove: Oh, God, y'all...what a night, what a night. Before I tell you about the evening, I want you to know that there were many, many pictures taken of the show. If you go to my facebook page, you can see several that I borrowed from friends. You can also go to the page for Icon Photography and see several more. I wanted to experience the full effect of the show without being distracted by taking pictures, so that's why I only have these.

So I got to Biloxi about 3:30. Believe it or not, there was a line already forming! There were only about 10 people in line, so I got right in there and started talking with a few of the folks. The VIP desk was nearby, so I went to talk with them about giving my gifts to Al. His manager was there, so I asked him if he thought Al would sign autographs after the show and the VIP party. He said most likely not. So I asked him if there was some way I could get the gift bag to Al, and he said he'd give it to him. As we stood there, more and more people came, and by about 5:00, there were at least 75-100 people in line with us! By the time the doors opened at 6:30, the line was down the hall and around the corner.

Standing on line for three hours was totally worth it. I was up front, to the right of the stage. When Al came in, doing "Tacky," he came in through the door a few feet away from me, and walked right past me, giving us all high fives as he went toward the stage. My God, that man is so handsome and charismatic!! He and his band put on the most wonderful show I've ever experienced. I've never danced, hollered, laughed and cried so much in my life. He owned that stage and everyone there. I had seen most of the songs that he did in videos on YouTube, but seeing him perform them a few feet away from me was enough to make me weak in the knees.

My only regret is that he didn't do "Wanna B Ur Lvr," but when it's standing room only/general admission, he won't do it, because he can't come out into the audience. Everything else was so perfect, especially what came after the concert, that I guess I can live with that one song not being performed. After the show, I did as I had planned and went out to wait by the bus. Y'all, there were only a handful of people out there! I figured as it got later, more would come out, but they didn't!! Still, about 11:30, one of the gals from his crew came up and told us that she was really sorry, but Al wouldn't be signing any autographs because they had to leave as soon as he came out. About half of the people left, but myself and five or six others stayed. As I mentioned in one of my notes elsewhere on this forum, I had no plans to leave until I saw the tail lights of the bus heading toward I-10. While we were waiting, Jim and Steve came out and signed autographs. I got a hug from each of them, and they signed the back of my shirt. I had a shirt from the Environmental Studies Center, where I'm employed, and I had fixed it up a bit. It has an owl and his bird friends in sunglasses on the front, and I stenciled "Too Hot To Hoot" on the front. I'm so glad I waited. About 12:15 or so, their manager came out and told us that Al would sign one item for each of us, and we couldn't take any pictures. He said that we would have to hand him our items and he'd give them to Al to sign. I waited until it was my turn, and my heart was in my throat. My legs were trembling so that I just knew I was gonna fall right into Al's lap. I told the manager that I really couldn't hand him my item, and of course, he wanted to know why. I told him that I wanted Al to sign my arm, praying that he wouldn't tell me I couldn't do that. Luckily, he just told me to go ahead, and suddenly, there he was. The most precious person in the world, sitting on the bus steps, looking so cute that it almost seemed unreal! I told him that I wanted him to sign my arm, and he asked his manager to give him a fresh sharpie. Before he signed his autograph, I asked him if I could get a hug, and he said "of course, you can." There are no words....the man gives the most wonderful hugs. He let me wrap my arms around his back and up on his shoulders, and he hugged me really close. He is so thin; I didn't realize that about him. The way he performs, I guess I should have known, but he is so tall that I just figured he'd be a little stockier. He felt so good that I hated to quit the hug; I really felt like all was right in the world when he hugged me. It lasted less than 30 seconds, but I got so much from that one interaction! I swear, the man is almost other worldly!!! I've NEVER been around someone that could make me feel like the world was perfect until last night.

I then gave him my arm to sign, and as he did, I thanked him for being such an important part of my life and that I admired him and his family so very much. I told him a few other things that I'd wanted to say to him. He looked me right in the eyes as we were talking, and I could tell that he was genuinely interested. Oh, you guys, his smile...his smile made me feel so warm inside and his beautiful eyes smiled as well as his perfect mouth. I will never, EVER forget last evening and the magic that happened.

I went to my friend that owns a tattoo shop here in Mobile immediately after I got home. I will post a pic of the inked in autograph in a few days. It's really bruised right now, so I want it to clear up a bit before I show it off. For now, you have the original one to see.

I am so grateful and happy and blissed out right now!!! :yay: :D :inlove:

Respect for getting it inked on and waiting by the bus! Never know if you don't try.

Thanks! There were several people who left after being told that Al wasn't coming out. By the time he DID come out, there were so few of us out there that it didn't take 10 minutes, so they were on their way in no time!
