Is Al finally "here to stay"?

He who's tired of Weird Al is tired of life.

Me too! That would be so awesome to see Al's work somehow be adapted into a stage show. "UHF: The Musical," anyone? :P

Please no! What a waste it would be if Al got to do a Broadway show and all he did was have some professional singers cover his songs! I would be so much more excited for a brand new project based on an original idea.

I'm with you!!!!
Al's said that a sequel would be so disappointing, so a musical would be like a sequel.

I think that a musical based on his concerts would be really cool.
Think of all the classics, fully realised, performed on a Broadway stage! :accordion:

Yeah, I would not want it to be a jukebox musical (as fun as some of those can be - I personally really enjoyed We Will Rock You), or anything based on UHF. That would just be retreading old ground. Something new and different would be much more exciting!
Love and peace.

He's been doing a lot of voiceover work for Disney lately...

What if that opened the door to a feature film idea?? :whoot:

Wasn't that script basically dismantled and cannibalized for jokes to use in other stuff? Though I'm sure he'd easily be able to come up with something new if required.

Come to think of it, the "answer to everything/drivers test" lyric from JPE sounds like something that Al could've written for that movie and later "cannibalized" for that song. If the protagonist in the film was a teenager like Al said, it would make sense for them to be preparing to get their license.
